Tips on How to Use

Sugar scrubs are a great thing to add to your weekend routine, as they work best when you only use them one or twice a week. Make sure your lips and face are make-up free before applying. You may want to wet your lips a little bit to help prep your skin and make application easier.

Scoop a dab of the scrub on one finger and rub gently into lips in a circular motion for 10 to 20 seconds. Don't worry if you get any in your mouth — it's 100-percent edible! Rinse off with warm water and apply lip balm without a ton of added fragrance or other potentially irritating ingredients.

Why We Love This Scrub

So what exactly is the point of using a lip scrub? Sugar crystals don’t just taste good, they also work well as an exfoliant on sensitive areas like your lips. In the winter when the weather gets colder, your lips start to get chapped.

Using a sugar lip scrub can help prevent chapped lips and keep new skin forming on cold, windy days. Exfoliating also creates a clean slate for your lipstick and helps those deep red hues hold better and stand out more.

And adding a fall twist of pumpkin to lip scrub not only tastes great, it also provides some healing health benefits. Pumpkin is high in vitamin A, which is a good source of retinol, which can help slow the signs of aging. Plus, cinnamon is an anti-inflammatory agent, and the coconut oil smoothes and moisturizes your skin.
