The Best Urban Decay Dupes

Some of these Urban Decay dupes are almost identical and some people think they are even better than the Urban Decay brand.

It all comes down to personal preference but these dupes are really affordable so you can try them out without worrying about wasting any money. Remember that most makeup and drugstores will allow you to return a cosmetic item if it isn’t what you expected. Just make sure to read their return policy.

I’m going to start off with the Naked palettes since those are the most popular Urban Decay items. The best dupe I have found for the Naked palette is the NYC Lovatics by Demi palette. They have very similar shades and you can recreate most looks that you get with the Naked palette.

There are more matte colors in the Lovatics palette and it does have more fall out when you apply the shadows. I’ve seen many Youtube videos where people do side by side looks using these palettes and they look identical when you put them on.

Overall, it is a great option if you can’t afford the Naked palette. The Naked palette is $54 and the Lovatics palette is only $6-$7. So that is a savings of $47.

I love the colors in the Naked 3 palette so I was glad when I came across Makeup Revolution Iconic 3. The colors are nearly identical when swatched on your skin. The Naked 3 colors are only slightly more metallic but it’s not that much of a difference.

The Naked shadows are also slightly more creamy and they tend to last longer than the Iconic 3 shadows. The Iconic 3 shadows still last 8-10 hours so it really isn’t that big of a difference.

Another popular Urban Decay palette is the Naked Ultimate Basics. A very similar product is the Hard Candy Birthday Suit palette. The Ultimate Basics has 12 colors compared to the 10 in the Birthday Suit so there are 2 colors that you can’t dupe.

Both palettes have all matte colors and they have great pigmentation but the Birthday Suit shadows have a more firm texture compared to the creamy texture of the Urban Decay palette.

The Ultimate Basics is $54 while the Birthday Suit is only $6 so it is worth trying out to see how they compare.

To keep that eye shadow in place, you need a good primer. The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is very popular but it costs $20. A good dupe is the e.l.f. Shadow Lock for only $2.
