...But now I realise why those beauty bloggers were getting ahead of the game. It’s because these beauty advent calendars sell out so fast and you have to be SO quick to buy them! I should’ve known better.
Beauty calendars are more popular than ever this year and there are a lot of choices this Christmas but I've narrowed it down to my top 10.
A word of advice, though... If you see a particular beauty advent calendar you want to buy, be quick and buy it before they're all gone!
Let the Christmas chaos begin!
As you can see from the lead image, I have actually bought this! But it's not for myself (unfortch), it's for my Mum as her birthday present. She loves Decleor skincare, so I this would be a great way for her to sample more from their range. She's going to be so pleased with it but I'm worried that she isn't going to realise that it's actually an advent calendar and open all 24 doors all at once (lols). Typical of a Chinese mum.
I see this one as a safe option, you can't go wrong with The Body Shop and you'll probably like all the products included in this calendar. They are super popular and I look forward to seeing what The Body Shop comes up with every year. They have a green one for £60, a pink one for £80, and a fabulous red and gold one for £99 - each containing 24 delicious smelling beauty products.
One of the lesser known brands of the lot, but a lovely one nevertheless. Arran Aromatics's Advent Calendar is exclusive to John Lewis and contains a selection of body care and candles. An all-rounder!
Now this is the one that I'd love to have this Christmas! I fear that if I look at it one more time, I'm going to be tempted to buy it (YOLO). Behind the doors are a selection of body wash, hand wash, shower gel, candles, lotions, scrubs, and creams.
I love the rustic style packaging design of Cowshed's Christmas calendar. I spy a bath oil, lip balm, and bath salts as well as the usual pamper stuff.
This isn't the most looking festive looking box, is it? While it might not neccessarily appeal to Joe Bloggs, I suspect us beauty bloggers will be ALL OVER this the monochrome packaging. The brands included are a mix up high street and premium from the likes of Elemis, Cowshed, Dermalogica, Burt's Bees, Batiste, and Balance Me.
I feel like the only blogger who hasn't tried anything from NYX yet but I am always hearing good things about their products! If you like their soft cream matte lip creams and eyeshadows, this one could be the one for you as there are 12 of each!
This one is very luxurious. It's £150 and you only get 12 travel sized and full sized products but the hardcore Charlotte Tilbury fans out there that would absolutely adore this. The box contains 12 pull out drawers as opposed to concealed doors so you could re-use the box after Christmas to store things in. Would look so great on the dressing table!
You need to spend £35 in M&S beauty, clothing, or homeware to get this advent calendar for £35 - but it's easy to find some lovely things to buy at M&S at this time of year whether it's for yourself or as Christmas presents. Launching on the 10th November, this advent calendar is a bargain and with £250 worth of beauty goodies, I predict it will sell out fast.
I'm not surprised this has sold out, it's a great price for wonderful products. There is a chance that it will be back in stock, so do keep your eyes peeled! If you haven't tried anything from Rituals before, I highly recommend their Ayurveda collection - in particular the shower foam and body scrub.
