When Lorraine of Harvesting Love Events began noticing she was booking a LOT of weddings with 50 or less guests in attendance, she knew it was time to design a beautiful styled shoot with the main concept being all about hosting an intimate + thoughtful day.
She tells us, Our inspiration started off with the idea of using local seasonal grasses as a ceremony backdrop to create an organic minimal vibe. We love how the grasses give a balance of simplicity but still making a bold statement to the white background. Since the whole concept in mind was creating an intimate wedding for a small gathering, I wanted the table setting and lounge pieces to seem as if we were in someone’s home. Instead of creating a formal dining table, we placed the cake and flowers as if the meal was set up to be a family style dinner.
Sounds like an absolutely beautiful notion to us! Let’s see it come together in the gorgeous images below by Daniel Kim Photography…
For our dress, we kept in mind that the bride might not want to spend a fortune on her wedding dress so we found the bridal line from Reformation. It was a perfect fit for the style we were going for and the cost of this line was much more affordable than a normal wedding gown.
Hawthorne Flower Studio put together the most stunning bouquet + arrangements for the editorial, that echoed the minimal, organic tone of the day.
