Sheen, gloss and glitter is littering the spring/summer 2015 runway. From silver stardust eyes by Charlotte Tilbury for Tom Ford, to Val Garland's mermaid skin at Julian Macdonald, and Michael van der Ham's mirrored eyes, it's time to get reflective for next season's season.

Ditch the powder, rid of your mattifiers and look on the bright side of beauty with these shining examples of what's to come.

With Lucia Pica's mirrored eye suddenly we had licence to wear glitter during the spring/summer season too (it's usually saved for the autumn/winter party season). Nail artist Sophy Robson followed suit with her unapologetic ombre glittered nail. Yes it's teenage - even Robson tagged her backstage Instagram snap with #OneDirection #groupie - but there's something appealing about the bright side of beauty for grown-ups too.

Julian Macdonald

Oh this? "Glamazon mermaids," explained lead make-up artist Val Garland. Expect what's wet-look, reflective on the runway however to translate as super dewy, healthy, moisturised skin by the time it hits the high-street in six months time - BB and CC Creams at the ready.

Tom Ford

Charlotte Tilbury created what she coined the "smoky oval eye," for Tom Ford, "with a wet texture, thanks to silver shimmer." And you thought smoky metallic eyes were just for Christmas?

Michael Van Der Ham

Inspired by super dewy skin, MAC's make-up artist Sam Bryant pushed the mirrored make-up theme by tacking reflective moon shapes - in gold, silver and blue - on to the lids of models to catch the catwalk lights....

..while nail artist Katie Hughes went matchy-matchy with Butter London Nail Lacquer in Dob and Yummy Mummy for a "fingers dipped in glitter effect."

Marios Schwab

"Skin is very, very dewy, super moisturised - almost like there are waves through the centre, with a wet look, reflective, silver eye created using MAC pigments to get a really wet, silver reflective eye," said Val Garland who created the look backstage for Marios Schwab.

Topshop Unique

The Blackpool beach-inspired beauty at Topshop Unique didn't just mean windswept hair and weathered lipstick, it meant dewy, wet-to-the-touch skin, "after all, it's probably raining," explained make-up artist Hannah Murray. "We also used a cheek gel - in Topshop Plum - rather than powder or cream to create that wet-look finish, and didn't use powder at all," she added.
